    This conference is a joint collaboration between UD’s College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education and Human Development in cooperation with the Delaware Department of Education, Delaware Institutes of Higher Education (IHEs), the School District of Philadelphia, and area IHEs.

    Discover how Delaware educators are proactively teaching students social and emotional skills. Understand what concepts like trauma-informed care look like in practice. Find out about new initiatives like Project DelAWARE, which integrates behavioral and mental health supports in the classroom. 

    Presenters will include Jon Cooper, director of the Division of Behavioral Health in Colonial School District; Melissa Tooles, a counselor in Capital School District and Heather Godwin, the Project DelAWARE coordinator.
